Chason Virgil's Ability

08 Mar

Can not say enough about the maturity West Mesquite's Chason Virgil displayed as a sophomore quarterback. Virgil plays the position with a certain Rajon Rondo like style. Virgil seems to be able to pass from all kinds of body positions: back foot, front foot, spin move then pass, pass on the run, pass while juking... The best way to explain it, is he simply looks like a point guard out there. Virgil displays great quickness in the pocket (4.21 shuttle). He is able to avoid tackles, and then deliver a great deep ball. Although Virgil can run... he is a pass first quarterback. His 4.59 40 yard dash is more deadly because his passing ability is so precise. He is currently holding offers from Nebraska, Missouri and Clemson. For most universities it is not if they will offer Virgil but when?

2012 Notable game.
Virgil was 20 of 28 for 311 yards and 3 TD's passing, and rushed for 50 yards and a TD on 9 carries in a 43-17 win over Rockwall.
