William Stanley Speed Attack

West Mesquite's 2014 WR William Stanley really impressed with a 4.48 40 yard dash and 33.5" vertical on Monday. His 4.41 shuttle shows he has the agility to compliment his speed. Stanley has a great confidence and is an obvious smooth operator. A college could sew up a Percy Harvin like slot in Stanley.

Athlete's at Shoemaker

Killeen Shoemaker's Johnny Jefferson is known for being the speedster in his town. The 2013 RB committed to Baylor in March after receiving a number of D1 offers. We wanted to document Jefferson's 4.3-4.4 speed, but Jefferson recently attained an injury. With Jefferson not participating in the Speed Rank testing, others stepped up, including 2013 grad, Daron Lloyd. Lloyd is a 5'11 175 lb. CB/WR with some real speed at 4.59 in the 40 and impressively carries a good amount of muscle with it.

Catching up with Kansas Jayhawk Greg Allen

Speedrank.net recently caught up with University of Kansas freshman defensive back Greg Allen. Well, few people actually catch Greg, at 4.33 he still holds the fastest 40-yard dash on Speedrank. We did however, have the chance to ask him a few questions about his move to Lawrence, Kansas after graduating from Houston’s Alief Taylor this past spring.

FB Marshall Kendall Sheffield is becoming well known around Houston. The 6'0 165 lb. cornerback ran a 4.54 with SpeedRank last month. He will be one of the first athletes in the 2015 class to peek big interest. This fall Sheffield will be receiving solid practice reps from WR's Mark Barre and William Polley. 2014 Barre, ran a 4.46 and recorded a 38.7" vertical. 2013 Polley is 6'1 165 lbs. and recorded a 4.63 and 33.5" vertical.

Friday June 1st Westfield HS had 3 athlete's jump 40". 2014 grad Bradley Boyd jumped 39.8", 2014 grad Hilton Boyd jumped 42" and 2013 linebacker Chantz Singletary jumped 42.9". All three seemed to have jets coming from their feet. Jumping 40" is a very big deal. Speed Rank rarely sees athletes jump over 40. Singletary now holds the record for best vertical jump on SpeedRank.net.

Alief Hasting's Toritseju Kuyatsemi

Last spring 2013, Safety, Toritseju Kuyatsemi, "TK" clocked a 4.53 forty at 5'11, 185 lbs. This year TK stands at 6'1, 200 lbs. and improved his time to 4.45. This improvement really shows his work ethic; many athletes are unable to improve their speed with added weight. For recruiters eyeing Kuyatsemi, his timeline shows that while he is a player now, he could be a bigger, stronger, faster athlete in 2013. TK recently changed positions from cornerback to safety.

Prosper's Davis Webb

Davis Webb a recent transfer from Keller HS, is a 6'5/200 lb. QB out of Prosper HS in Prosper, TX. Webb is a top quarterback talent in Dallas and has the traditional body, recruiters and NFL scouts look for. He is not blessed with pure speed, but he does have quick feet. His 4.4 in the shuttle showed some lateral movement that was very promising for his size. In games he moves great in the pocket, with the ability to stay relaxed under pressure and find the open man.
