Sharpstown HS

Sharpstown high school has a number of athletes on their squad. They had nine 2012, college signees on national signing day. The most interesting prospect though is 2013 6'2 250 lb. Reggie Chevis. Chevis is a strong mix of Lawrence Taylor, Ray Lewis, Terrel Suggs, "The Waterboy" and whoever else you don't want to see on the other side of the ball. Chevis is already a highly recruited prospect, he is no diamond in the ruff.

Langham Creek Impresses

We have had teams before in this first year of Speed Rank that were impressive as a whole, but Langham Creek baseball really stands out.  The 60 yard dash is not as affluent as the 40 but for baseball players it is the standard.  Most scouts say they are pleased with anything under 7 seconds.  MLB average is tended to be in the 6.8-6.9 range, under this is above average and under 6.5 is plus speed.

Speed Rank going to Dallas in the Spring.

In the Spring of 2011, Speed Rank tested many of the top high schools in the Houston area. Many of the players will be moving on to the top colleges in the country. Speed Rank will go to more schools this year in Houston and bring competition and a little fun with the 40 run to Dallas. 2012 will be an interesting football off-season as Speed Rank again will find more and more great athlete's in the State of Texas!

Mr. Versatility Devin Lauderdale

Bellaire High School junior Devin Lauderdale’s versatility is a key component to the Cardinals’ early season success.

The Bellaire (TX) Cardinals football team is off to a 3-1 start, and some of their success can be contributed to standout junior Devin Lauderdale. Lauderdale was the Cardinals, Football Player of the Week for the week of September 11-17, 2011, with 168 yards receiving and 83 yards rushing.

Throw it, I'll Catch it.

Tuff McClain has some of the best hands in Houston. Quickly placing his name on the map, McClain is a big game receiver. He puts his body at risk to catch the ball matching his name “Tuff” to his game. He will continue to be a game breaker this season. He has speed, strength and jumping ability. McClain will go get it! His hunger for the ball will create great opportunities for Klein Oak to advance this year.
